The Lin-gang Special Area in Shanghai held an international talent innovation and entrepreneurship promotions conference in its Overseas Returnees Start-up Park on Jan 14, to recruit more people and business to the area.

More than 40 young representatives from 31 countries participated in the event, including 24 foreign students in China, 14 foreign entrepreneurs and 11 Chinese returnees.

The event was held both onsite and online and more than 20,000 people participated in a live broadcast.

During the event, foreign entrepreneurs shared their experiences about innovation, entrepreneurship, work and life in Lin-gang.

Meanwhile, officials talked about Lin-gang's attractive policies for developing international hires – including a personal income tax subsidy and more convenient immigration policies for expats in such areas as residence permits and work permits.

Since its establishment in August 2019, the Lin-gang Special Area is widely viewed to have continued to explore a more open talent policy. This has been to attract and serve international talent to work and live in Lin-gang with the greatest effort – and it has also acted to make itself "the first choice for global talent innovation and entrepreneurship".
