From May 25 to 26, more than 2,000 outdoor endurance sports enthusiasts from 22 countries and regions gathered at Dishui Lake in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area for the two-day 2024 Xing-Quan Dishui Lake Triathlon & Open Water Swimming Challenge.

The event featured four competitions: the swimming challenge, the "little ironman 321" triathlon, the adult triathlon, and the youth triathlon. The swimming challenge was divided into a 1,000-meter open category and a 2,000-meter elite category. The little ironman competition was split into three age groups: 6-8 years, 9-10 years, and 11-12 years, with each group completing different race distances. The adult triathlon included three courses: the Ironman 226 kilometers, the half ironman 113 km, and the Olympic standard distance of 51.5 km, with relay options available for the longer distances. In the teenage triathlon, participants tackled a 25.75 km course.
