The Lin-gang Special Area – located in East China's Shanghai city - held a jobs promotion conference on May 11 to attract graduates to remain in the area.

Among measures being introduced to achieve the goal, at the meeting the first group of members signed up to join a Lin-gang youth alliance. In addition, the career guidance center for Lin-gang universities signed an agreement to join the Lin-gang Special Area International Talent Service Hub.

Meanwhile, the Lin-gang Special Area universities alliance signed an accord with the area to promote and encourage college graduates to start up businesses and find jobs there.

An official from the Lin-gang Special Area Administration also introduced policies on the integration of industry and education in the area's 14th Five-year Plan (2021-25) - as well as policies about recruitment, housing, education and medical care.

Representatives of overseas returnees and young entrepreneurs, based in the Lin-gang Special Area, shared their experiences of working there and said they saw more such people coming and participating in its development.
