The Lin-gang Special Area in East China's Shanghai city released a 2022-25 action plan on March 24 for the development there of a dynamic cybersecurity industry cluster.

The total output value of the local cybersecurity industry by the end of the period is expected to top 3 billion yuan ($471 million), with bursts of innovation in key technologies, products and services.

Meanwhile, the cybersecurity industry is expected to drive the growth of related industries to exceed 5 billion yuan by 2025 and that the area will develop five industry leading companies with wide influence.

Furthermore, a number of innovation achievements in key cybersecurity technologies, products and services will be made.

During the period, the innovation and integration of cybersecurity technologies, services, insurance and other financial products will be expanded.

It is expected that the area's government and enterprises will be guided to increase their investment in cybersecurity – and that cybersecurity risk management systems and emergency response capabilities will be improved.
