The DZ38 line, connecting Dishui Lake hub station and Pudong Airport Terminal 2, will run on a four-month trial basis, with free rides available through May 31.
From June 1 to Aug 31, the service will charge a flat fare of 20 yuan ($2.93) per person. Authorities will conduct another evaluation from Aug 1 to Aug 31 to further optimize the route.
The route starts at Dishui Lake hub station. It ends at Pudong Airport Terminal 2, with stops at Lingang Avenue-Hucheng Ring Road (Lingang Avenue metro station), Pudong Airport Terminal 1 and Pudong Airport Terminal 2.
The service will operate four fixed daily departures. Buses will depart from the Dishui Lake hub station at 7 am and 5:30 pm, while departures from Pudong Airport Terminal 2 are scheduled for 8 am and 6:30 pm.
Reserved services will also be available and must be booked at least 18 hours in advance through the WeChat mini-program named "Lin-gang Travel" (临港出行).
