The parade on Sept 28 started at 6:30 pm, with the luminous floats departing from Turing Plaza and slowly making their way clockwise to Dishui Lake Plaza, giving the appearance of a flowing galaxy.

The Lin-gang Special Area's float, themed to represent the area's youth, stood out as a particularly popular addition to the scene. Representations of the iconic landmarks in Lin-gang — Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park, Shanghai Astronomy Museum, Shanghai Flower Port, China Maritime Museum, and L+ Snow Indoor Skiing Resort — were featured on the float.

A series of 39 activities to celebrate the upcoming National Day in Lin-gang Special Area was launched at the event. The activities will run from Sept 28 to Oct 7 and are meant to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and further boost the integrated development of commerce, culture, sports, and tourism in Lin-gang.

Commerce, culture, sports, and tourism are among the many realms covered by the holiday lineup. During the National Day holiday, which runs from Oct 1 to 7, Lin-gang Special Area will also launch four thematic markets and two business-tourism integration promotions.
