The 2025 Dishui Lake New Year's Concert is set to take place at the Lingang Performing Arts Center in Shanghai on Dec 31, ushering in the new year with a spectacular musical celebration.

The renowned Chinese conductor Zhao Xiao'ou, leading the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, will work with famous pianist Kong Xiangdong, who is the first Chinese musician to hold a piano recital at the Vienna Golden Hall at the invitation of Austrian Ministry of Culture, to deliver a musical feast, bringing to the audience classical, heart-touching and joyful programs such as Tritsch-Tratsch Polka, Champagner-Polka and Yellow River Piano Concerto.

Music is not only an artistic expression but also a medium for the inheritance and exchange of world cultures. Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra has attended many international music events and performed on the international stages, narrating Chinese stories through symphonic music.

As a State-owned orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra has evolved over more than 70 years into a leading professional symphony orchestra in both classical and modern music. It not only has witnessed and participated in the development of China's film music and radio arts, but also played a vital role in the development of Chinese symphonic music.
