In tandem with activities for the fourth anniversary of the establishment of the Lin-gang Special Area – in East China's Shanghai – the first  tenants in the landscape belt around Dishui Lake in the area have opened their doors for business.

One of them is the Lineart Gallery, which is current undergoing trial operations.

Having opened on Aug 18, it is the first gallery with international standards in Lin-gang and it is also a cultural landmark situated by Dishui Lake.

It was launched by resident artists Lin-gang Huang Dayou and Zhang Ping. The facility contains an exhibition hall, art gallery, a multimedia screening room, a training classroom and a bookstore, and is considered to be an art experience space with a unique style.

The Lineart Gallery has currently been organizing the opening its exhibition Pelican Prequel. The show is gathering seven artists, designers and poets from different cultural backgrounds and fields to create an immersive exhibition. Installations, mixed materials, paintings, animations and multimedia art works are featuring.
