The China-UK Low Carbon College at Shanghai Jiao Tong University was established by the university and top British universities such as the universities of Edinburgh and London.

With the strong support of Shanghai, an international pilot zone for running schools in the field of low-carbon technology and carbon resource management was established. The college, which integrates talent training, high-end training, scientific research and industrial incubation as one field, is the first low-carbon college in China.
