Industry-education integration conference held in Lin-gang
A conference focused on building a pilot city that integrates industry and education took place on March 23 in the Lin-gang Special Area, located in East China's Shanghai.
At the event, an alliance for Lin-gang's industry-education integration was established.
The first members included 84 bodies – covering enterprises, institutes, associations, colleges and universities. The alliance aims to achieve platform construction, information accessibility and resource sharing.
Local authorities at the conference rolled out a raft of 15 in-depth measures that covered such fields as institutional environments, innovation exploration and resource allocations.
According to the Lin-gang Special Area Administration, 22 out of the area's 28 industry-education major projects have made significant achievements. Figures also indicated that the number of Lin-gang college graduates being employed was higher than the municipal average in 2022.
At the conference five enterprises were recognized as integration bases, including GTA Semiconductor Co Ltd, Shanghai HeartCare Medical Technology Co Ltd and Leadrive Technology (Shanghai) Co Ltd.
In addition, three more pilot bases and an integration promotions center were added at the event. Local authorities also issued a plan for integrated training of personnel.
Collectively, all the measures are expected to advance Lin-gang's integration of industry and education.
