The Yew Chung International School of Shanghai Lingang, also known as YCIS Shanghai Lingang, is a proud member of the Yew Chung Yew Wah Education Network (YCYW), an educational network with roots in Hong Kong dating back to 1932, boasting over 90 years of progressive development. As a global educational group, YCYW operates across 12 international cities. With the establishment of the Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education (YCCECE) in 2018, YCYW has realized its vision to provide a unique continuum of education, nurturing future generations from infancy to the tertiary level, also known as the Baby to Bachelor cycle.

In 1993, YCYW pioneered the opening of YCIS Shanghai, the first officially recognized and registered international school in the city. Catering to children aged 2-18, YCIS Shanghai currently hosts around 2,300 students from over 50 regions and countries, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. YCIS Shanghai Lingang will implement a comprehensive 16-year education system, initially enrolling children aged 2-8 (K2 to Y3). In the future, it will fully open up all the year levels of primary school (Y4 to 6) and secondary school (Y7 to 13). 
YCIS Shanghai Lingang was thoughtfully designed by top international designers. The campus caters for students from Kindergarten to Lower Primary and is specifically designed to meet the needs of these children. This campus features:
• Large, bright, flexible classrooms with interactive touchscreen technology to encourage stimulating classroom interaction.
• Air filtration units in the classrooms to provide students with a safe and healthy learning environment.
• An all-weather sports field and several interactive play structures and spaces where children can exercise, run and play.

• The new YCIS campus is located across the road from the Yew Wah school located in Lin-gang Special Area. That means there will be opportunities for our students to make use of the exceptional facilities there, such as the theater and sports field and the new gymnasium and swimming pool.
Located adjacent to the Dishui Lake, the school enjoys a beautiful waterside environment and top-notch sports fields and facilities. It also features modern cultural facilities, including an indoor performance hall. These can be used in such areas as art and dance and there are also musical instruments.
