East Shanghai High School has opened a new campus for senior high school students in the Lin-gang Special Area in Shanghai.

The new campus, which covers an area of 150 mu (10 hectares), opened on Aug 27 after three years of construction and has 48 classes.

East Shanghai High School is a modern, high-standard, public boarding school established by Shanghai High School and the Pudong New Area Education Bureau in Lin-gang. The school started to enroll junior high school students in 2009 and senior high students in 2013.  

East Shanghai High School currently has two campuses in the area.

Since its establishment four years ago, the Lin-gang Special Area has become home to 19 schools. At present, Lin-gang has a diversified education service system consisting of 19 kindergartens, 29 primary and secondary schools, one secondary vocational school, eight colleges and universities including the Chinese and French Schools of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the Sino-British Low Carbon College of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the Dishui Lake Advanced Finance School of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
