Shanghai Pudong New Area Ming Zhu Lingang Primary School was founded in 1993, the era when Pudong infrastructure construction was in full bloom.

Zhao Qizheng, director of the administrative committee of the area at that time, attended the opening ceremony of the first semester of the school.
