The 2025 World Laureates Forum (WLA Forum), with the tagline "Science in Future", commenced on Oct 24 in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area, and will run through Oct 26. The high-level event brought together 25 recipients of top international awards, including the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Wolf Prize, and Fields Medal, alongside numerous academicians, renowned experts, and outstanding young scientists from home and abroad.

This year's forum focuses on cutting-edge global scientific issues, exploring fundamental research, technological breakthroughs, convergent innovation, international collaboration, and scientific governance for the future.

Among the invited luminaries are four Nobel laureates, four Turing Award winners, and prominent scientists working in China, such as Shing-Tung Yau and Andrew Chi-Chih Yao. Twelve top scientists from around the globe attend the forum for the first time, while several returning experts continue to play pivotal roles.

Structured as a multi-tiered event with one main forum, six sub-forums, and over 10 derivative activities, the forum aims to create a high-level international academic gathering.
