The 2025 World Laureates Forum (WLA Forum), featuring the theme "Science in Future", is set to take place from Oct 24 to 26 in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area. Hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology, this year's event will feature one main forum, six sub-forums, and over 10 ancillary activities.

Since its inception in Shanghai in 2018, the WLA Forum has been committed to becoming a significant link connecting the world's top scientists and an important platform for high-end dialogue in the international scientific community.

This year's forum will bring together 25 laureates of prestigious international awards such as the Nobel Prize, the Turing Award, the Wolf Prize, and the Fields Medal. A group of academicians, renowned experts and scholars, and distinguished young scientists from home and abroad will delve into topics such as basic research, integrated innovation, and international cooperation based on future science.

The 2025 WLA Forum is highlighted in four aspects: top-notch participants — 12 global leading scientists to make their debut; university-region collaboration, involving Shanghai's top universities and Lin Gang Laboratory to advance research-to-commercialization; promotion of public engagement and youth innovation through scientific fairs and educational activities; matchmaking of enterprises and R&D institutes in Lin-gang.

The six sub-forums will focus on young scientists, life science, intelligent science, materials science, open-minded talk, and brain disease, respectively.
