Global representatives impressed by Shanghai's modernization achievements

A group of foreign political figures, invited to the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting in Beijing, visited Shanghai on July 8 to observe the dynamic implementation of Chinese modernization. They hope to learn from China's experiences to aid their own countries' development.

Their tour included a stop at Tesla's Gigafactory Shanghai in the Lin-gang Special Area, where they were impressed by the factory's efficient production lines.

Nicholas Morris, international relations secretary of the United National Congress Party of Trinidad and Tobago, was taken with the Tesla factory, noting that it demonstrates the Chinese people's "innovation, efficiency, and vitality".

Osbert Charles, deputy general secretary of the National Democratic Congress Party of Grenada, praised the factory's large production capacity and its role in reducing carbon emissions through electric vehicle manufacturing.

Charles expressed interest in bringing more Chinese-made electric vehicles to Grenada, underscoring the strong relationship between the two countries in sectors like agriculture, education, sports, and infrastructure.

He expressed interest in knowledge exchange, suggesting the possibility of sending young students to China to learn about related technologies and seeking guidance from Chinese experts.

Ruth Cahuana, national youth secretary of the Free Peru Party, admired China's infrastructure achievements, particularly in port facilities. She expressed hope that Peru and China would enhance their cooperation for mutual progress.
