The Hong Kong/Shanghai Cooperation Open Data Challenge 2025 opened in Hong Kong on April 13 with government officials, business representatives, and experts from the two cities attending the event.

A ceremony for the signing of a memorandum of understanding on digital economic cooperation between Shanghai and Hong Kong was held at the event, while the Service Station for Outbound Data Ecology (Hong Kong) was also officially launched.

The service station, guided by the Shanghai Data Administration, was jointly initiated by Lin-gang International Data Port and Hong Kong & Shanghai Data Society, with Hong Kong's Cyberport offering help with the venue and ecosystem.

The station aims to leverage Hong Kong's advantage as a bridge between the Chinese mainland and the rest of the world to help mainland enterprises connect with global markets. To achieve this, it will provide services such as consulting, data compliance, business registration, and ecosystem integration.
