Lin-gang Special Area promotes investment opportunities in Italy
An event to promote investment opportunities in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area was held in Milan, Italy on April 10.
Chen Jinshan, director of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration, highlighted Shanghai's role as China's largest economic hub and Lin-gang's position as a pilot zone for higher-level openness. Chen stressed Lin-gang's advantages, including its alignment with international rules, advanced manufacturing ecosystem, and modern urban landscape.
Marco Alparone, vice-president of Italy's Lombardy Region, emphasized Lombardy's innovation and vitality, expressing a desire to collaborate with Lin-gang Special Area to foster free trade and bilateral innovation. Luciano Galimberti, president of the Association for Industrial Design (ADI), aimed to promote Italian design globally through cooperation with Lin-gang.

Agreements were signed by the Lin-gang Special Area Administration and Italian design and manufacturing firms. Tongji University, Politecnico di Milano, and the ADI also inked strategic partnerships to boost the landing of Italian design and sci-tech innovation enterprises in Lin-gang.

Opportunities and services for the development of foreign enterprises in Lin-gang were presented during the event, involving cross-border finance, talent cultivation and fund support.
