Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area plans to create a new comprehensive aquatic center integrating sports, training, events, and leisure, which is expected to become another sports landmark in the city.

The new aquatic center will cover an area of 34,323 square meters next to Dishui Lake and consist of a comprehensive building and a boathouse. It is intended to become a first-class venue for sailing in China.

The comprehensive building, serving as both a training facility and rest area for athletes, will ensure that every athlete can reach the training venues quickly and easily.

The boathouse will function as not only a venue for water sports events and storing boats, but also a place for recreation, with a public space on the ground floor where people can watch the events up close, learn about sailing and windsurfing, and engage in water sports.
