The Lin-gang Special Area – located in East China's Shanghai – held a cultural exchange event on March 9 that attracted over 30 participants from eight countries to experience the ancient art of tie-dyeing and to explore modern digital reading at the Wisdom Library in the Lin-gang Center.

At the WLA Science Community, attendees participated in tie-dyeing workshops. They even tried their hand at making something, guided by skilled craftsmen who demonstrated the intricate process.

They were fascinated to see the plain fabric transformed into vibrant patterns. Afterwards, they proudly displayed their creations, expressing their enthusiasm for sharing Chinese tie-dye culture with others.

Following the tie-dyeing activity, participants were treated to Chinese classical music performances and had the chance to share their experiences over coffee and pastries.

The event continued at the Science and Digital Library, which displayed some of its vast collection of digital books and advanced technologies such as augmented reality. Participants were excited by the immersive reading experience, especially while viewing ancient artworks in high-definition digital animation.
