The Ring of Glory, a steel curtain complex in the Lin-gang Special Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, celebrated its topping out ceremony on Jan 15 at the Dishui Lake Financial Bay in East China's Shanghai.

As a landmark building and signature feature of the financial bay, the topping out of the Ring of Glory marks a milestone with the first phase of the financial bay project moving towards its final stage. 

The huge steel structure, with a diameter of 153 meters and more than 10,000 metric tons in weight, spans 120 m on top of four 46-meter-high commercial towers. 
Overall, there's four commercial towers, covering over 890,000 square meters of business areas, a 7,500 sq m square for cultural events and more than 28,000 sq m of public space.

It connects the core functional zones on the east and west sides of Dishui Lake, symbolizing cooperation between the financial service sector and various other key industries.

The financial bay has already signed up 1,200 enterprises to settle there, including more than 50 of the world's top 50 companies and over 70 of China's top 50 enterprises.

To top it off, its levels of registered domestic capital and foreign investment now stand at over 140 billion yuan ($178 billion) and $2 billion, respectively.
