The 2023 Dishui Lake Emerging Finance Conference will be held in Lin-gang Special Area, Shanghai next month to enhance China's financial power through discussions on new strategies for emerging finance.

The conference will focus on the open and innovative development of emerging financial formats and aim to foster practical cooperation between various parties. The goal is to create a globally influential "carnival" in the emerging financial field that is aligned with the conference's objective of turning the Lin-gang Special Area into a financial powerhouse.

Attendees will include government officials, experts, industry leaders, financial institutions, and enterprises, fostering communication and cooperation.

The conference will feature a high-level opening ceremony, a keynote speech by six economists, three special seminars, sub-forums, and over 30 high-level activities. It will also unveil achievements such as the Dishui Lake Initiative for Emerging Financial Development, the Lin-gang Emerging Financial Development Report, and the Blue Book of Several Professional Fields in Emerging Finance, showcasing over 100 innovative mechanisms, cases, products, and services.

The sub-forum and special seminars, which will be attended by more than 100 young economic elites, financial and trade experts, will address topics like cross-border finance, technology finance, and fintech. The conference will also organize a themed exhibition on emerging finance in Lin-gang.

Sun Xiaohe, head of the financial and trade division of Lin-gang Special Area Administration, emphasized the conference's role in driving Lin-gang's efforts to become a special economic functional zone and accelerating the construction of high-end service functions in the municipality's five new towns – Jiading, Qingpu, Songjiang, Fengxian, and Nanhui.

Activities throughout the year, including academic seminars, roundtable discussions, exhibitions, and media tours, have been held to create a financial "carnival" for Lin-gang Special Area and establish the Dishui Lake Financial Bay brand.
