The Jin'gang Arts Center is expected to open at No 33 Haotong Road in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area by 2027, serving as a new cultural hub for live performances, public lectures, graduation ceremonies, and community activities alike.

Located at the heart of the Lin-gang Comprehensive Community, the center reflects the galaxy-inspired design of its surroundings. Its flowing facade echoes planetary orbits, appearing elegant and sculptural by day and glowing like a ringed celestial body at night.

With a floor area of 6,904 square meters, the two-story theater will feature 1,214 seats. Its seven-curtain system will allow for flexible scene changes and stage zoning, while a height-adjustable stage will further enhance its adaptability for different productions, from concerts to plays and variety performances.

The facility also highlights an advanced acoustic design, with sound- and light-absorbing panels installed on walls. The curved surfaces will ensure a balanced sound distribution throughout the auditorium. Multiple independent dressing rooms are available for performers.

The center will operate independently and be open to nearby schools. Businesses, community organizations, and individuals can also rent the space for events and activities.
