JLG, a leading global designer and manufacturer of access equipment, signed a cooperation agreement with Carloha on Aug 26 to launch a bonded maintenance project for high-end construction machinery in the Yangshan Special Comprehensive Bonded Zone.

The project will initially focus on bonded maintenance of scissor lifts and electric straight-boom aerial work platforms, before expanding to JLG's full product range and evolving from equipment maintenance to integrated, end-to-end services.

The move will further strengthen JLG's presence in the Yangshan bonded zone, where it has established its Asia-Pacific regional headquarters for business decision-making, procurement and sales, after-sales overhaul services, parts distribution, R&D, and training.

To date, the zone has cultivated a broad range of bonded maintenance operations, spanning aircraft, vehicles, mobile phones, computers, projectors, circuit control panels, and construction machinery. Its bonded maintenance imports and exports rank among the highest among China's special customs supervision areas.
