Intl joint center proposed in Lin-gang to foster IC trade services
An international joint design center will be established in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area to foster deeper integration between integrated circuits design and manufacturing.
The initiative is outlined in a recent action plan for building Shanghai as a national demonstration zone for the innovative development of trade in services.
The city sets a target of reaching $270 billion in trade in services by 2027, with a more optimized trade structure, stronger concentration of market players, smoother flows of production factors, and more internationally competitive service brands. By 2030, Shanghai aims to exceed $300 billion in trade in services and establish itself as a services trade hub with global influence.
To achieve these goals, the plan calls for the development of new business forms and models in trade in services and greater innovation across industrial supply chains. The proposed international joint design center in Lin-gang is part of this broader effort to expand trade in services related to the IC industry.
