The headquarters building of Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment Inc China (AMEC), a domestic manufacturer of micro-fabrication equipment for the integrated circuit and broader semiconductor industries, was put into use recently.

As an industry leader, AMEC has developed more than 50 types of equipment, spanning critical semiconductor processes such as etching, thin-film deposition, metrology and inspection, and chemical-mechanical polishing. Its atomic-level precision has helped fuel an average annual sales growth of over 35 percent for 14 consecutive years since 2012.

Located at the Dishui Lake IC Innovation Hub, the newly operational headquarters building marks the full establishment of AMEC's integrated R&D, manufacturing, and corporate operations ecosystem in Lin-gang Special Area. It not only serves as a milestone in the company's development, but is a vivid testament to the transformation of the Lin-gang Sci-tech Innovation City from blueprint to reality.

Dishui Lake IC Innovation Hub is now home to more than 20 headquarters enterprises such as Longsys and Horizon Robotics, as well as a number of research institutes, including those belonging to China National Petroleum Corporation and China Railway Construction Corporation. 

The buildings of Lin-gang Laboratory and Primarius will also come into operation by the end of this year.
