As the global green transition advances, new regulatory frameworks such as the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and Battery Passport are making carbon emissions accounting and certification mandatory for exporters. Meanwhile, the secure and compliant cross-border transmission of carbon data also remains a major challenge.

The new platform is designed to address these challenges, helping enterprises across the steel, textile, chemical, and consumer goods manufacturing sectors in the Yangtze River Delta region and beyond meet evolving sustainability requirements as they expand globally.

To be specific, it will combine Siemens' Xcelerator, an open digital business platform, with local computing and network infrastructure to provide advanced carbon accounting methodologies, robust security protocols, and compliance frameworks for data transmission, as well as integrated coordination services.
