An offshore sci-tech innovation center was launched by the Shanghai Technology Exchange International Trading Center and Shanghai Harbour City Group in Lin-gang Special Area on June 30, aiming to take advantage of the area's high level of institutional openness.

Shanghai Society of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Open Source Information Technology Association, and eight enterprises have become the first tenants.

Shanghai Lin-gang Intellectual Property Exchange Center, Shanghai AllBright Law Offices, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, Shanghai Maritime University, Shanghai Branch of the Bank of Communications, and Shanghai Lin-gang Special Area Cross-border Data Technology are among the 10 professional institutions that provide comprehensive services in legal affairs, taxation, intellectual property, cross-border finance, talent, and data security.

Meanwhile, eight institutions, including Khan Tengri Central Asia Innovation Hub, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, Monash University Malaysia, Australia's OZ BEAT, Singapore's Sinza Advisory Pte. Ltd, and Glinks Law Firm's Jakarta and New Zealand offices, signed on as overseas partners. 

Together, they will form an offshore innovation network across Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific regions to foster closer cooperation in talent introduction and cultivation, technology transfer, and international market expansion.
