Lin-gang hosts International Cinema Editors Conference

Renowned film editors and other industry professionals from China and the United States engaged in in-depth discussions on industry trends, the creative approaches that shape cinematic storytelling, and the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence.
Kevin Tent, former president of American Cinema Editors, joined Zhang Yibo, a council member of the China Cinema Editors Association (CCEA), and Zhou Xinxia, president of the association, for the panel "Time, emotion, and perspective: A cross-cultural dialogue on film editing." The discussion explored the similarities and differences between Chinese and US films in narrative rhythm, character development, and audience experience.
Oscar-winning film editor Jennifer Lame joined Zhu Yiyun and Li Dianshi, executive council members of CCEA, for the panel "Structure, rhythm, and world-building: Editing across cinematic genres".
A roundtable titled "From the cutting room to the world stage" examined the transformative impact of AI on filmmaking and the evolving relationship between technological innovation and artistic expression.
