The 2026 Shanghai One Person Company Economy Expo (OPCX), China's first industrial gathering centered on OPCs, was held in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area on June 2 and 3.

The conference featured a 2,000-square-meter marketplace that brought together more than 120 pioneering sci-tech companies from cloud services, AI agents, cross-border services, intelligent hardware, culture and creativity, and animation sectors for achievement showcases, resource matching, and community networking.

As another highlight of the event, Lin-gang Group announced a series of measures in support of the OPC boom. Around 30,000 square meters have been allocated from Zero Cube Phase II, including 23,000 sq m for the digital economy, 3,000 sq m for cross-border finance and overseas expansion services, and 3,000 sq m for student entrepreneurship, all to serve as new development carriers. In addition, 200 talent apartments have also been made available.

Services for OPCs have been enhanced through the establishment of a one-stop service platform for public computing power and AI agents that can reduce enterprises' computing costs by 80 percent, the opening of a professional corpus resource database with free trial access, and the provision of customized financing solutions of up to 10 million yuan ($1.48 million).

Moreover, policies for OPCs have been more tailored. Teams or companies whose annual revenue exceeds 3 million yuan or 5 million yuan for the first time will receive a one-off subsidy of up to 500,000 yuan, calculated at 5 percent of their sales. Additional subsidies were introduced for AI account subscriptions, model API usage fees, and corpus purchase fees.
