A China-UK financial cooperation roundtable between Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area and the City of London was held on March 27, aiming to strengthen exchanges between financial institutions, and advance openness and innovation in Lin-gang's financial sector.

At the event, the Lin-gang Special Area Administration presented an overview of the development plan, construction progress, distinctive advantages and investment opportunities of the Dishui Lake Financial Bay.

During the roundtable discussion, representatives from both sides held in-depth discussions on building globally connected financial hubs, supporting Chinese enterprises expanding overseas and the international strategies and global asset allocation of financial institutions, furthering mutual understanding and consensus.

As a frontier of China's opening-up, Lin-gang has made notable progress over the past six years in institutional innovation, advanced industries and the development of a modern area. Meanwhile, the City of London, as a major international financial center, holds strong advantages in financial and professional services, offering valuable experience and expertise for Lin-gang's development.

The event marks a new phase in dialogue and cooperation between Lin-gang and the City of London. Looking ahead, both sides will leverage this meeting as a starting point to further explore areas such as offshore and cross-border finance, strengthen regional coordination and establish a regular exchange mechanism.
