With the Oriental Pearl Digital Film and Television Production Base as a key production hub, many scenes from the Spring Festival blockbuster racing comedy Pegasus 3 were shot in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area.

During the holiday, Pegasus 3 topped China's 2026 Spring Festival box office with more than 2.92 billion ($425.76 million) in revenue, while Shanghai led all cities with 196 million yuan, making it a double champion across both national and city rankings.

Many of the film's standout scenes were shot on location in Lin-gang. The band performance was filmed at Dishui Lake Pier, set against industrial-style exposed-concrete architecture. Paired with the live music, the scene projects a sense of freedom and romance that leaps off the screen. The film's intense qualifying race sequences were filmed near Yangshan Deep-Water Port, where a winding coastline and towering port facilities provide a naturally cinematic backdrop.

Several indoor scenes and special effects sequences of Pegasus 3 were produced at the Oriental Pearl Digital Film and Television Production Base in Lin-gang, including sets such as a replica auto repair shop and a hotpot gathering of veteran and rookie drivers.

As a key production hub for the film, the Oriental Pearl Digital Film and Television Production Base integrates digital visual effects, VR, AR, and AI technologies. Leveraging Lin-gang's supportive policies — including incentives for overseas expansion and technology-driven production — the base has attracted a wide range of international film and television resources.
