The 2025 DSH International Shipping Innovation Conference, featuring the theme "Pioneering Global Shipping through Digital Innovation and Green Transition", was held in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area on Nov 20.

Inaugurated in 2023, the conference aims to accelerate innovation in the international shipping services sector, focusing on technologies, business, and management.

This year's conference features three parallel forums, bringing together representatives from international organizations and institutions, shipping companies, ship management firms, and relevant industries.

An international think-tank for the high-level shipping services of Lin-gang was established at the event. Stephan Wolf, chairman of the Digital Standards Initiative Industry Advisory Board, analyzed the digital transformation of international shipping in Lin-gang.

At the conference, the Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration released 14 service measures aimed at enhancing the capacity of Yangshan Deep-Water Port, supporting the digital, intelligent and green transformation of the shipping industry, and building a premier business environment for shipping operations.

The Yangshan Port International Ship Registration Service Center and several other high-level shipping function projects were launched. The Shanghai representative office of Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation, aiming to promote cross-border data connectivity and identity verification, was unveiled during the conference.

Meanwhile, COSCO Shipping launched its international shipping digital supply platform, offering services including supply-demand matchmaking, one-stop order filing, and more.

The Lin-gang base of the State Key Laboratory of Chemical Engineering and Low-Carbon Technology unveiled an international shipping green energy certification platform, providing services such as green fuel certification and energy-carbon assessments.
