The Shanghai International City and Architecture Expo 2025 took place at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center from Oct 30 to Nov 1. Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area showcased its progress and innovation over the past six years through three exhibition zones, tracing its journey from institutional reform and industrial clustering to technology-driven growth and urban governance.

The display area showcased Lin-gang Special Area's innovation ecosystem through two frameworks — the "innovation map" and the "maker policies", becoming a highlight of the exhibition.

Displays showcased Lin-gang's innovation landscape from world-class laboratories to a complete innovation chain. Spotlighting Lin-gang's "three frees, six subsidies, zero wait" service system, the displays also outlined the support measures for startups, talent housing, and scientific research.

Focusing on three core areas — digital economy, industrial investment, and urban infrastructure, the displays demonstrated Lin-gang's achievements in smart city development, green and low-carbon initiatives, and industrial ecosystem cultivation.

Lin-gang also presented alongside the Shanghai Green Building Council's exhibition area, showcasing innovative practices in green urban development, ultra-low-energy buildings, and renewable energy applications. Complementing the main exhibition area, the display showcased Lin-gang's commitment to green development.
