Green development policy sharing meeting among Asian BRI countries held in Lin-gang
The second Regional Meeting on Policy Experience Sharing for Green Development Among Asian BRI Partners was held in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area from July 9 to 10.
Co-organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (CAITEC) under China's Ministry of Commerce, the event gathered officials, experts, and scholars from countries including China, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Turkiye, and other international organizations.

Wang Xuekun, director of the CAITEC, emphasized China's commitment to promoting green development of the Belt and Road Initiative, offering policy tools, technological advancements, and market opportunities to regional partners.
The meeting also saw the launch of the Asian Green Development Partnership Network (AGDPN). According to Wang, it is expected to foster cross-border collaboration among governments, enterprises, and research institutions so that they can better share green transition strategies.
Yang Zhengwei, executive deputy director of Lin-gang Special Area Administration, highlighted the area's progress in establishing a high-standard open innovation system, advanced manufacturing clusters, and a green development strategy since its inception in 2019. Lin-gang is taking the initiative to build a service platform to help enterprises expand overseas and contribute to the economic development of Belt and Road countries.
Delegates visited the Yangshan Phase IV automated terminal and Contemporary Amperex Technology's (CATL) Shanghai smart factory, witnessing 5G-powered automation and zero-carbon production practices.
