Lin-gang Special Area strives to explore new path for Sino-Japanese innovation cooperation
On April 16, Chen Jinshan, director of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration, led a delegation to Yokohama, Japan, focusing on forging new paths for Sino-Japanese cooperation in innovation.
During their visit to Yokohama Port, the two parties discussed collaboration in the fields of automotive transportation, developing digital shipping solutions, and establishing a "Digital Shipping Corridor" to promote the digitalization of maritime trade scenarios and the cross-border flow of shipping data.
They also discussed creating a "Green Shipping Corridor" to drive the development and utilization of clean energies such as green methanol, ammonia, and hydrogen, as well as building low-carbon port areas to enhance the use of clean energy in ports, collectively advancing the international shipping industry's transition to green, low-carbon practices.
At the Tech Hub Yokohama, both sides expressed their commitment to deepening cooperation, leveraging the Lin-gang Special Area's advantages in institutional innovation and the international incubation experience of the Tech Hub Yokohama to build a Sino-Japanese innovation ecosystem.
The delegation also visited TBM Co Ltd, which is expanding its business presence in China. In the near future, TBM will establish its China trade headquarters in the Lin-gang Special Area and join the Japanese Industrial Park in the area. TBM aims to expand its business further to contribute to the green, low-carbon, and sustainable development of Lin-gang.
