On Feb 28, an event titled "Invest in Shanghai, Share the Future" brought Italian enterprises to the Lin-gang Special Area, Shanghai, with the aim of boosting Sino-Italian cooperation.

Addressing the gathering, Chen Jinshan, director of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration, highlighted the establishment of the China-Italy Lin-gang Innovation Cooperation Park as a crucial step in deepening industrial, technological, economic, and cultural exchanges between the two countries. Lin-gang, as a pioneer in China's institutional opening-up, has been supporting Italian enterprises by leveraging its strategic location, world-class industrial clusters, and innovative business environment.

Yu Yuantang, director of the European Department of China's Ministry of Commerce, noted the robust growth in bilateral trade between Italy and China, which has nearly quadrupled since the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2004. Italy is now China's fourth-largest direct investment source within the EU and a key investment destination.

The event underscored Lin-gang's dedication to promoting international cooperation, especially with Italy, and its efforts to create a favorable environment that allows foreign enterprises to thrive in China.
