The Lin-gang Special Area of Shanghai held a ceremony for the signing of several major projects with a total investment of 42.8 billion yuan ($5.9 billion) on Feb 20, marking a strong start to the year.

An impressive 41 enterprises signed agreements to set up operations in Lin-gang, including MacEarth Group, a leading Japanese ski resort operator. MacEarth, which boasts 50 years of experience in managing ski resorts, hotels, and vacation villages, aims to leverage the seasonal differences between Japan and Shanghai.

The group plans to establish a long-term partnership with Shanghai L+SNOW Indoor Skiing Theme Resort in Lin-gang, sharing customer resources and promoting mutual recognition between their indoor and outdoor ski resorts.

During the signing ceremony, a representative of MacEarth expressed excitement at the new partnership as well as the prospect of exchanging ski instructors, which would help boost the development of the skiing industry in both countries. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in enhancing winter sports cooperation between China and Japan.
