An "Italian companies visiting Lin-gang" event took place in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area from Feb 8 to 9, aiming to further deepen cooperation between Italian enterprises and the special area and promote win-win cooperation in industries, finance, trade, and other sectors within the China-Italy Lin-gang Innovation Cooperation Park. The event saw the participation of over 30 representatives of Italian enterprises.

Xue Feng, director of the Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board (Invest Shanghai), emphasized that Lin-gang Special Area, as a critical carrier of national strategies, possesses numerous pilot policies that provide robust support for the innovative development of enterprises. Italy boasts significant industrial strength in machinery and equipment, automotive manufacturing, biomedicine, aerospace, and fashion design, which align well with Lin-gang's development focus, suggesting immense potential for collaboration.

Xue added that Invest Shanghai will work closely with the Lin-gang Special Area Administration to facilitate the high-quality development of Italian enterprises in the area.

Lorenzo Riccardi, chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, shared the investment experiences of Italian enterprises in China and expressed high expectations for the future of the China-Italy Lin-gang Innovation Cooperation Park. The two sides are poised to strengthen industrial collaborations.

The initial layout of the park features a Sino-Italian industrial cooperation service center, an industrial park, and an industrial expansion area to accommodate various companies from Italy and other countries in Europe. The surrounding commercial blocks, international schools and communities, and entertainment facilities will provide a highly livable environment for expats in Lin-gang.
