Demonstration platform for low-altitude integrated flight established in Lin-gang Special Area
A forum on the high-quality development of future space and high-end manufacturing was held in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area on Dec 26.
During the forum, a significant step was taken towards the development of the low-altitude economy in Lin-gang: the establishment of a demonstration platform for low-altitude integrated flight.
Jointly developed by the Peking University International Innovation Center in Lin-gang Special Area, low-altitude aircraft enterprises, and scenario application enterprises, the platform aims to leverage a unified command system to integrate typical low-altitude application scenarios such as food delivery, urban inspection, low-altitude tourism, and emergency rescue within the same area, achieving efficient collaboration and integrated flight.
Rong Zhiqin, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission, noted that Lin-gang Special Area has become an important hub for Shanghai's aerospace industry.
He suggested further supporting Lin-gang Special Area in leveraging its strengths in aircraft manufacturing, aerospace engine development, and microsatellite research. He also said that Lin-gang should tap into its advantages in low-altitude cultural tourism and logistics scenarios, such as Dishui Lake, Haichang Ocean Park, and Yangshan Port, and encourage enterprises to explore more commercial applications in satellite communications and low-altitude manned and unmanned deliveries, thereby achieving higher innovation and application within the industrial chain.
