Lingang Group has announced plans to establish an industrial park dedicated to Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the Dishui Lake Financial Bay of Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area. The initiative aims to better align with Shanghai's foreign industrial development and investment attraction needs.

During the recently concluded seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE), Lingang Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Mizuho Bank and Mizuho Bank (China) to jointly promote the construction of the park. The three parties will create an international industrial ecological environment, facilitate economic exchanges and cooperation between China and Japan, and attract more Japanese SMEs to set up operations in Lin-gang.

The Japanese SME industrial park will occupy an area of 20,000 square meters, with a covered area of 90,000 sq m. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024 and ready for the first batch of enterprises to move in around the Spring Festival in 2025. The park will feature two premium office towers and podium buildings.

Lin-gang Special Area boasts a strong industrial foundation for Japanese enterprises, with 147 Japanese-related enterprises and over 30 brick-and-mortar enterprises already established. Additionally, the park will strive to be an ESG green, low-carbon, and intelligent park, improving energy efficiency by 15 percent and generating nearly 500,000 kWh of electricity annually from over 2,000 sq m of photovoltaic rooftops.
