Lin-gang Special Area showcases new quality productive forces at 7th CIIE
The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) concluded in Shanghai on Nov 10, witnessing robust trading activity. Tentative deals worth $80 billion were achieved during the 6-day event, a year-on-year increase of 2 percent.
A highlight of this year's CIIE was the Lin-gang exhibition area, co-organized by the Lin-gang Special Area Administration and Lingang Group. It gathered nearly 70 foreign-invested enterprises from about 20 countries and regions, showcasing advancements in high-end equipment manufacturing, intelligent new energy vehicles, biopharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence, and hydrogen energy.

On Nov 8, Greenlyzer, a leading Singaporean anion exchange membrane (AEM) green hydrogen technology company, premiered the world's first industrial-scale AEM electrolyzer within the Lin-gang exhibition area. The equipment converts renewable energy into hydrogen by employing low-cost AEM technology.

Plansee, a global leader in high-performance materials for powder metallurgy headquartered in Austria, signed a leasing agreement on Nov 7 to expand its factory in Lin-gang by 10,000 square meters for semiconductor electronic component production. The project aims to achieve technological breakthroughs in the high-end application of tungsten, molybdenum, and other high-performance materials in the semiconductor field.

Moreover, the Shanghai-Hong Kong Artificial Intelligence Industry Acceleration Alliance was initiated by Hong Kong Cyberport, Lingang Group, and Biren Technology at the 7th CIIE. The alliance aims to build industry practice bases, cultivate talents, integrate resources, and construct an ecosystem. The first batch of members includes leading AI enterprises and emerging tech stars from both Shanghai and Hong Kong, such as MiniMax, Pegasus, Laurry AI, MateZ Lab, and Sourcy.ai.
