The 12th International Forum of Automotive Lighting, China (IFAL 2024), with the tagline "Vehicle-Mounted Light Environment in Era of AI", is set to be held in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area from Oct 16 to 18. This will be the first time the IFAL is hosted in Lin-gang, focusing on the latest developments and market trends of AI technology in automotive lighting.

Sponsored by the Fudan University Institute for Electric Light Sources, the forum aims to facilitate cooperation among industry, academia, and research institutions. It will explore significant topics such as human-computer interaction, future intelligent automotive lighting, new lighting technologies, and the formulation of standards and regulations.

In 2023, the output value of Lin-gang's automobile industry totaled 287.95 billion yuan ($40.47 billion), accounting for 37 percent of Shanghai's total. The special area is the ideal venue for IFAL, with its current count of around 160 automobile-related companies and having built up an automotive electronics industry ecosystem integrating manufacturing, research, development, and testing.

The forum will not only bring together top talents and innovative technologies in the industry but also provide Lin-gang with a valuable platform for exhibition and efficient resource connection, further deepening cooperation within the automotive industry ecosystem.
