Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area marked its fifth anniversary by launching 44 key projects with a total investment of nearly 34 billion yuan ($ 4.77 billion) on Aug 20.

These projects, covering industries, residential areas, energy, and green spaces, highlight the region's rapid development.

Since its establishment, Lin-gang has achieved an impressive annual growth rate of 33.4 percent in fixed asset investment, with a total of 480.7 billion yuan invested from 2019 to 2023.

Key projects beginning construction include the Jinqiao Lin-gang automotive electronics innovation park, focused on automotive electronics with an investment of 3.63 billion yuan, and the Dishui Lake core area C02-01 block, which will develop a high-quality residential community. Another notable project is the China MCCS Group Lin-gang headquarters, aiming to set a standard for ultra-low energy buildings in Shanghai.
