Lin-gang Special Area hosts intelligent computing power conference

The Lin-gang Special Area Intelligent Computing Power Conference 2024 took place on May 7 at the Lin-gang Center – located in the Lin-gang Special Area, in East China's Shanghai.

During the conference, Tang Hao, deputy director of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration, introduced the area's computing industry layout and unveiled new policies to boost its computing capabilities.

The policies include 11 measures aimed at supporting the construction of computing centers, efficient scheduling, green computing and innovative applications.

These aim to boost international data cooperation, leveraging Lin-gang's competitive advantages.

Key demonstration scenarios like "computing + autonomous driving" were highlighted at the conference. Various AI, communication and computing enterprises also signed cooperation agreements there.

Furthermore, several large-scale model training clusters – such as SenseTime's SenseNova 5.0 large model system – were launched during the conference.

The Lin-gang Special Area is widely said to have established a comprehensive computing infrastructure system. In terms of infrastructure construction, the area has already laid out eight computing centers, including those for China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom and SenseTime.

In terms of its industrial ecosystem, Lin-gang has established a development pattern with technological innovation as the internal driving force, advanced manufacturing as the key support and modern services as the characteristic advantage.

Several significant projects have been implemented for demonstration scenarios – including the largest domestically produced single-pool liquid-cooled computing cluster in the country.
