The platform – a key component of the integrated public security and transport system in the area – aims to streamline travel reservations for collection trucks and establish a coordinated collection truck transportation network.
It offers improved transportation and parking reservation services for truck drivers, better transportation plan management for logistic enterprises and better government supervision and early warning services.
During its launch ceremony, the Municipal Road Transportation Administration and the Administrative Committee of the Lin-Gang Special Area recognized the platform service base and allocated the first batch of pilot access enterprises.
The Lin-gang Special Area, a vital part of Shanghai's international shipping center, has witnessed substantial growth in its shipping operations – with Yangshan Port alone accounting for over 50 percent of the container throughput of Shanghai Port.
The new platform is expected to expedite the development of the Yangshan Port collections and transportation system.
It will also aim to support the development of the Shanghai international shipping center by integrating various departments and industry resources.
What's more, the platform is said to enable dynamic supervision, real-time monitoring and comprehensive evaluation of collection truck transport within the Lin-gang Special Area.
