The China Maritime Museum in Lin-gang Special Area in East China's Shanghai recently announced a group of activities for visitors, with the aim of promoting traditional culture during the upcoming Chinese lunar New Year.
A dragon-themed exhibition – entitled Dragon Flies to the Sea – opened on the first floor of the central hall on Jan 26 and will last until Feb 28.
Visitors can explore the spirit of dragons, in mythical stories that have been passed down for thousands of years through precious cultural relics.
An invented game that requires participants to collect cards with dragon images and New Year's good wishes will be held in the hall as well. Those who collect five cards will win a souvenir.
The lighthouse at the museum, which rarely opens except during lunar New Year, will allow visitors to climb to the very top to pray for good fortune.
