Officials said that the exterior curtain walls of two hotels have been built, and 90 percent of the interior decoration and mechanical and electrical installation have been completed.
The installation, decoration, and external construction of the ski resort and water park are progressing well.
Located in the Lin-gang Special Area of Shanghai, Wintastar Shanghai will span 350,000 square meters. It will have a 90,000-square-meter indoor ski park, three star-rated hotels, a multi-functional exhibition hall, and a snow and ice themed commercial complex.

The resort will integrate sports, entertainment and leisure and fill the gap in ice and snow travel in Shanghai's tourism industry chain.
The indoor ski park will have three ski slopes of varying gradients and over 20 tourist attractions and amusement facilities. The facility is catered to both professional skiers and amateurs.
The highlights of the project also include an indoor snowfield train, which will be the first of its kind in the country.
