The new Dishui Cloud Hall planning exhibition center – located in the Lin-gang Special Area in East China's Shanghai – opened on Sept 28.
The distinctive hall – shaped somewhat like a water drop – is positioned on the west side of the North Island in Dishui Lake, covering a floor space of 8,000 square meters.
In its 4,500-sq m exhibition area, visitors can learn about Lin-gang's past, present and future plans for development with the help of information technologies, such as artificial intelligence, holographic imagining and multimedia displays.
They can also have a complete view of Lin-gang's urban planning, living facilities, policy systems and ecological civilization.
The interactive multimedia products in the "Panoramic Lin-gang" and "City Walk" sessions enable the visitors to experience the changes brought about by the Lin-gang Special Area's efforts in promoting low-carbon growth while developing its economy.
In order to build itself into a benchmark for energy saving, the exhibition center itself adopts a green, smart and low-carbon approach in design.
The center will serve as a window for the opening-up of Lin-gang and be a major publicity platform to demonstrate the area's sustainable growth. It will help investors get a better understanding of the industrial strengths and potential of the area.
In addition, the center will become a new landmark for cultural activities and entertainment.
It has launched a one-month trial run to test the pressures of visitor flows. Online reservation for admission will be available on the center's official WeChat account starting from Nov 1.
