Lin-gang launches global AI innovation contest
The "Shanghai · Lin-gang Cup" global AI innovation contest and the Hong Kong-Macao student maker marathon kicked off on Sept 19 in the Lin-gang Special Area in Shanghai.
The event will see students from the Chinese mainland, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region attempt to solve challenges posed by various businesses.
The contest, which focuses on themes including global smart cities and autonomous driving tech, will be judged by renowned AI scholars.
The teams that qualify for the national finals will attend a three-day, two-night maker marathon, where they'll write code to turn their ideas into reality.
Presently, 32 universities and 88 teams – including 55 international student teams from countries like the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom – have signed up for the event.
